The only place authorized to issue Mexican passports in South Florida is the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, located at:<\/p>\n

The documents required vary depending on whether it is the first time you are applying or if it is a renewal. However, the general requirements are:<\/p>\n

For adults (first time or renewal):<\/strong><\/p>\n

Original birth certificate.<\/p>\n

Official photo identification, such as consular registration, INE or valid Mexican driver’s license.<\/p>\n

Proof of Mexican nationality, if no official Mexican identification is presented.<\/p>\n

Payment of fees according to the chosen term.<\/p>\n

For minors:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mandatory presence of the minor and both parents or guardians.<\/p>\n

Birth certificate of the minor.<\/p>\n

Official identification of parents.<\/p>\n

Consent form (OP-7) signed at the consulate.<\/p>\n

Proof of Mexican nationality of the minor (if applicable).<\/p>\n

Costs and term<\/p>\n

The rates in effect for 2025 (may vary slightly) are:<\/p>\n

Passport for 3 years: $89 dollars<\/p>\n

Passport for 6 years: $120 US dollars<\/p>\n

Passport for 10 years (only for those over 18 years old): $180 USD<\/p>\n

Persons over 60 years of age, disabled or temporary agricultural workers<\/a> may be eligible for a 50% discount in the payment of fees, upon presentation of the corresponding documentation.<\/p>\n

Delivery time<\/h2>\n

In most cases, the passport is delivered on the same day of the appointment, as long as the documents are complete and there are no observations.<\/p>\n

However, in special situations or if additional verifications are required, delivery may take a few days.<\/p>\n

Important recommendations<\/h2>\n

Arrive on time for your appointment and with all documents in original and copy.<\/p>\n

Check in advance the rates and forms of payment accepted (in general, only debit or credit cards are accepted).<\/p>\n
