The U.S. U-20 National Team continues to demonstrate why it is considered one of the great favorites at the U-20 World Cup Chile 2025.<\/p>\n

With an attacking, effective and disciplined brand of soccer, the North American team finished top of Group E after a dominant opening phase, and now prepares for a demanding duel against Italy in the round of 16 of the tournament.<\/p>\n

The United States<\/a> ‘ road to the U-20 World Cup began with a blistering performance.<\/p>\n

In their debut, they thrashed New Caledonia 9-1, showing an offensive power that set the tone for the tournament.<\/p>\n

In its second match, the team repeated its high level by beating France, one of the historic powers of youth soccer, 3-0.<\/p>\n

The only defeat came in the last group match, a 1-2 loss to South Africa.<\/p>\n

It is considered one of the top favorities<\/p>Qu\u00e9Onnda.com<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n

However, the setback had a context:<\/p>\n

With qualification already assured, the coach decided to rotate several starters and save his energies for the next phase.<\/p>\n

Thanks to their goal difference and six points, the United States finished top of their group, consolidating their bid for the title.<\/p>\n

This performance marks a historic milestone:<\/p>\n

This is the thirteenth time the United States has advanced out of the group stage at a U-20 World Cup and the sixth time they have topped the group.<\/p>\n

The next challenge will be against Italy, which qualified as second in Group D after beating Australia, drawing with Cuba and losing to Argentina.<\/p>\n

The duel will be played this Thursday, October 9 at the Estadio Codelco El Teniente, in Rancagua, at 3:30 p.m. ET \/ 12:30 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n

Broadcast in Spanish on Telemundo, Universo and Peacock in the United States.<\/p>\n

This clash promises to be one of the most exciting of the Round of 16 at the U-20 World Cup.<\/p>\n
