U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating fell to 37% among Latino voters in September, while his disapproval rose to 60%, a new poll by Global Strategy Group<\/a> and Somos Votantes revealed Monday.<\/p>\n

The figures contrast with the 39% approval and 57% disapproval ratings the poll reported in its last measurement in May, which the study attributes, in particular, to an erosion of Trump’s support among Latino men and young people in general due to “growing economic concerns.”<\/p>\n

For the first time, more Hispanic men, 52%, disapprove of the second Trump Administration since it began in January versus those who approve (46%).<\/p>\n

While 67 % of women have a negative opinion and 30 % of them have a positive opinion.<\/p>\n

The biggest drop occurred among 18-29 year olds, a group in which now two out of three, 66%, disapprove of Trump’s administration compared to 33% who approve.<\/p>\n

This contrasts with the 56% negative and 40% positive ratio in May.<\/p>\n

Latinos reject economic management<\/h2>\n

Looking only at the management of the economy, 62% of Latinos disapprove of Trump and 36% support him.<\/p>\n

This is according to a digital survey of 800 Hispanic voters conducted between August 26 and September 4.<\/p>\n

With a margin of error of 3.5% and a confidence level of 95%.<\/p>\n

“Economic pessimism and anxiety remain high, with Trump’s actions, especially his tariff policies, widely viewed as deeply unpopular and directly harming the financial well-being of Hispanics\/Latinos,” the report stated.<\/p>\n

Deteriorating economy<\/h2>\n

In fact, nearly two-thirds of Hispanic voters, 64%, consider the economy “poor,” and 58% think it is “actively getting worse.”<\/p>\n

As a result, more than a quarter, 26%, say they have problems meeting their expenses, according to the survey.<\/p>\n

In the opinion poll, more than 64% disapprove of Trump’s handling of tariffs and trade.<\/p>\n

More than seven out of 10, 71%, think that such trade taxes are raising the cost of products.<\/p>\n

Prioritizing the economy over Trump’s agenda<\/h2>\n

A majority of Latinos, 51%, believe Trump is focused more on tariffs and 47% think he focuses too much on the U.S.-Mexico border.<\/p>\n

Although Hispanics list inflation and the cost of living (50%), and jobs and the economy (39%) as their top priorities.<\/p>\n

The poll reflects the political attention Latino voters in the U.S., 48% of whom voted for Trump in the November 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n

According to the Pew Research Center, 51% voted for Democrat Kamala Harris, according to EFE.<\/p>\n
