Although a bond was approved Monday morning under his own signature, his immediate release has not been possible due to an immigration hold, which means he is now dependent on what the immigration system decides in the next few hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-7\">As explained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dglawga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diaz &amp; Gaeta Law<\/a>, Guevara&#8217;s representative, during a live broadcast through the Facebook page of MG News, owned by Guevara himself, the case is still developing, but there are encouraging elements.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ai-optimize-17\">Bail obtained for Mario Guevara<\/h2>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-18\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FMarioGuevaraNoticias%2Fvideos%2F1428230161442540%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=267&amp;t=0\" width=\"267\" height=\"591\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-8\">\u201cWe were able to get a bond for Mario today, under his own signature, which means he didn&#8217;t have to pay a fine,\u201d explained Zachar\u00edas Gaeta, one of the attorneys on the Diaz &amp; Gaeta legal team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-8\">\u201cBut unfortunately he is still in detention because he came down with an Immigration detain, and now we have to wait until 48 hours have passed to find out if Immigration is coming for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ai-optimize-9\">Has a migration hold<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_51042\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-51042\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-51042\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/mario-guevara-inmigracion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1046\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-51042\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: MG News Facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-9\">In this type of situation, if within that time Immigration decides to exercise detention, Guevara could be transferred to an immigration detention center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-9\">According to the attorney, the offices are already prepared to request a new bond motion before the Immigration Judge, in case the removal is finalized.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-10\">The legal team argued that there is a good chance that Mario Guevara will be released on bail in the immigration system as well, given that he has no criminal record, is a well-known journalist in the community, and has received strong public support since his arrest.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Mario Guevara has minor accusations<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50592\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50592\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-50592\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/mario-guevara-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"886\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-50592\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Screen shot from the Doraville Police Department.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Attorney Zacharias Gaeta also gave his opinion on the three minor charges he faces at the criminal level, stemming from the moment the police ordered the protesters to leave the site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Mario Guevara, who was broadcasting live and visibly identified as a journalist, did not leave immediately, which led to his arrest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-12\">\u201cIn my opinion, the charges are not very serious.
