According to the Salvadoran president, Abrego Garc\u00eda is a &#8220;terrorist&#8221; and represents a danger to regional security: &#8220;Of course I&#8217;m not going to do it. How am I going to send a terrorist to the United States? I&#8217;m not going to release him. We don&#8217;t like to release terrorists in our country,&#8221; Bukele said from the Oval Office.<\/p>\n<h2><!--more--><\/h2>\n<h2>An order of the Supreme Court<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29539\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29539\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-29539\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/bukele-2.jpg\" alt=\"Bukele\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-29539\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bukele refuses to return deported Salvadoran migrant \/ PHOTO: Shutterstock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bukele&#8217;s position directly contradicts a U.S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/visiting\/foreigntranslations\/spanishtranslation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">. Supreme Court<\/a> order issued last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>They demanded the immediate return of Kilmar \u00c1brego Garc\u00eda to U.S. soil.<\/p>\n<p>The Salvadoran had filed an appeal against his deportation, which was pending at the time of his removal to El Salvador under custody.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the court order, Bukele remains firm in his decision, claiming that his country is no longer &#8220;the murder capital of the world&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>And that releasing criminals would jeopardize the progress made in security.<\/p>\n<h2>Who is Kilmar?<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29551\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29551\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29551 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/bukele-3.jpg\" alt=\"Bukele, Kilmar \u00c1brego Garc\u00eda, Bukele deported Salvadoran migrant, president of El Salvador, Qu\u00e9Onnda\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-29551\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bukele refuses to return deported Salvadoran migrant \/ PHOTO: Ed Krassenstein (X Account)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to official sources, Kilmar \u00c1brego Garc\u00eda has no criminal record in the US, where he had been residing illegally since 2019.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to US Attorney General Pam Bondi, the migrant is allegedly an active member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-19) gang.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p style=\"color: #fd9737;\">If El Salvador decides to return him, we would facilitate his return as ordered by the Court<\/p><cite>Pam Bondi<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;But now he is in their custody, and it is the Salvadoran government&#8217;s decision,&#8221;
