Spain’s Ana Peleteiro, 29, assumed the role of captain of the national team at the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2025.<\/p>\n

With seven international medals to her credit, Peleteiro was the favorite to win gold in the triple jump, demonstrating once again her commitment and dedication to athletics. <\/p>\n

Yulimar Rojas<\/h2>\n

After 18 months of inactivity due to an Achilles tendon injury, Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas, Olympic and world triple jump champion, announced her return to competition.<\/p>\n

Her return is scheduled for March 9 at the Ciudad de Salamanca Athletics Trophy, where she will participate in the long jump, seeking to qualify for the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing. <\/p>\n

Mexican sailor Elena Oetling participated in her second consecutive Olympic Games in Paris 2024.<\/p>\n
