American singer<\/a> Katy Perry transformed the stage at the Son do Cami\u00f1o festival in Santiago into a space-age, high-tech fantasy brimming with energy, with a concert lasting more than an hour and a half in which she performed her greatest hits and gave the premiere of her new single, \u201cWatch It Burn.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cQueen of Camp\u201d promised a revamped show with an all-new production. And she didn\u2019t disappoint. <\/p>\n

Surrounded by a spectacular visual display\u2014a sea of pure white\u2014in which stage design, technology, and a tireless troupe of dancers and musicians supported her throughout, the American performer shone with her own unique radiance and won over the audience from the very first minute.<\/p>\n

Following the success of her world tour, \u201cThe Lifetimes Tour,\u201d during which she visited Barcelona and Madrid last November; and having just returned from the United States after participating in the third and final opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup, Katy Perry has arrived in Galicia, where she was welcomed by more than 42,000 people who attended the festival\u2019s first day this Thursday at Monte do Gozo.<\/p>\n

Always smiling, and at times captivating, Perry kicked off her show with \u201cCalifornia Gurls,\u201d accompanied by a parade of musclemen who turned up the heat on an already sweltering night. Pure Galifornia. <\/p>\n

Dressed in a white shirt bearing the message \u201cI am not a robot,\u201d a tie featuring the American flag, and matching tights, she moved with ease on an interactive stage filled with screens that she never stopped playing with throughout the concert, with nods to calls from her current partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.<\/p>\n

Always entertaining, she tried her hand at Spanish and, after telling the audience that she had only performed in Madrid and Barcelona, she praised Galicia and its cathedral, which she had visited before the concert.<\/p>\n

There were also plenty of references to her unique space journey aboard Jeff Bezos\u2019s spacecraft. Astronauts appeared on stage, carrying the Spanish flag, reenacting the first trip to the moon. Although she, aware of the stage she was standing on, quickly brought out the Galician flag as well. <\/p>\n

With the songs \u201cSpace Odyssey,\u201d \u201cDark Horse,\u201d and \u201cET,\u201d she has defied gravity and even flirted with a Martian, who performed a twerk that was out of this world.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of Me,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m His, He\u2019s Mine,\u201d and \u201cBon App\u00e9tit\u201d were the songs that closed out the first part of the concert, after which she addressed the audience again via a tablet and, using a QR code, raffled off her new outfit\u2014this time a pin-up look.<\/p>\n

In the second half of the show, Katy Perry treated her fans to songs from her upcoming album: first, \u201cBandaids\u201d; and then, in an exclusive premiere, \u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d for which she had released a teaser just a few hours earlier.<\/p>\n

With a rock vibe, the singer set the stage on fire and then performed the legendary \u201cHeads Will Roll\u201d by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, to which the audience danced and jumped around.<\/p>\n

\u201cLegendary Lovers,\u201d \u201cThe One That Got Away,\u201d and \u201cThinking of You\u201d were the next songs in a show during which the audience sang along to \u201ctheir queen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Songs from her first album, such as \u201cHot n Cold\u201d and \u201cI Kissed a Girl,\u201d have paved the way for even bolder moves. Perry climbed into a giant plastic bottle and literally took a dip in the crowd, throwing herself into the audience. <\/p>\n

Endlessly entertaining, the artist danced to the beat of a giant sunflower during \u201cHarleys in Hawaii,\u201d and before launching into \u201cRoar,\u201d she also delighted the crowd with remixes of \u201cLifetimes\u201d and \u201cAll the Love\u201d from her latest album, \u201c143.\u201d<\/p>\n

As was to be expected, the concert ended with \u201cFireworks,\u201d a song during which he opened a tube of sunscreen and sprayed foam all over the audience.<\/p>\n
