The music video for the song<\/a> ‘Dai Dai’, the official theme song of the 2026 World Cup that starts this Thursday, by Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian Burna Boy, surpassed 100 million views on the YouTube platform within two weeks of its release, according to its press office.<\/p>\n

The song has become a global phenomenon since its release due to its upbeat rhythm and the message it conveys focused on reminding children “that dreams can be achieved”.<\/p>\n

To that end, Shakira will donate 100% of the proceeds from ‘Dai Dai’ to the FIFA Education Fund.<\/p>\n

The goal of this song is to raise $100 million by the end of the World Cup from the United States, Mexico and Canada to provide access to quality education and sports for children around the world.<\/p>\n

In the promotional video for ‘Dai Dai’, Shakira appears dressed in a yellow T-shirt and blue shorts, like Brazil’s uniform, and with several balls along with a group of dancers as she sings snippets of the single.<\/p>\n

‘Dai Dai’ is also a song to raise funds for children<\/h2>\n

The singer enters the grass of the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro, carrying an official World Cup ‘Trionda’ ball, which she places on the ground as if she were going to make a move and begins the choreography of ‘Dai Dai’ with her dancers, dressed in the colors of teams such as Colombia, Argentina or the United States.<\/p>\n

“Oe, oe, oe, oe,” begins the song, with a lively Caribbean rhythm and English lyrics that refer to belonging to a World Cup of all.<\/p>\n

The scenography is completed with four balls from the World Cups of Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014, plus the ‘Trionda’ of 2026.<\/p>\n

Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka’ (This is Africa) was the anthem of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and four years later the Colombian repeated in Brazil 2014 with ‘La La La’, while her hit ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ was a sensation in 2006 in Germany.<\/p>\n

According to Agencia EFE, the Colombian singer will be one of the main performers at the first halftime show in the history of the World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Arena, along with Madonna and the South Korean group BTS, a type of concert that until now has been reserved for the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
