Daniel Su\u00e1rez once again wrote his name with golden letters in international motorsports, as the driver from Monterrey won the 2026 edition of the Coca-Cola 600, one of the most important and prestigious races on the NASCAR<\/a> calendar, becoming the first Mexican to win this historic competition.<\/p>\n

The Mexican driver’s victory came on an emotionally charged day at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which was also marked by the tribute paid by the entire NASCAR community to Kyle Busch, whose death recently shocked the world of motorsports.<\/p>\n

Although Daniel Suarez did not dominate for much of the Coca-Cola 600, his team made a pivotal strategic decision in the final pit stops:<\/p>\n

Change only two tires.<\/p>\n

This bet allowed him to gain important positions and place himself in a direct fight for the victory.<\/p>\n

In the final restarts, the Mexican managed to contain Christopher Bell’s attacks thanks to an aggressive and precise handling.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, rain appeared over the track and NASCAR decided to officially end the race before completing all the scheduled laps.<\/p>\n

The result sealed a historic night for Suarez, who scored just his third NASCAR Cup Series victory and first since 2024.<\/p>\n

After getting out of the car, Daniel Suarez could not contain his excitement at winning the 2026 edition of the Coca-Cola 600.<\/p>\n

In tears, he dedicated the win to Kyle Busch and his entire family.<\/p>\n

Recalling the relationship he had with the American driver during his time with Kyle Busch Motorsports.<\/p>\n

“Kyle was special,” Suarez expressed after the race.<\/p>\n

The day was completely marked by the memory of Busch.<\/p>\n

NASCAR held several special tributes on and off the track.<\/p>\n

The number 8 and the driver’s signature were placed on the grass of the main straight and also in areas near the circuit.<\/p>\n

In addition, the 39 participating cars carried a black decal with the number 8 as a sign of respect.<\/p>\n
