Federal Deputy<\/a> Sergio Mayer<\/span><\/span> surprised the national political scene by submitting his irrevocable resignation to the militancy of the National Regeneration Movement<\/span><\/span> (Morena). The decision was recorded in a document dated May 15 and addressed to the National Executive Committee of the party, to the National Commission of Honesty and Justice and to the National Electoral Institute. According to the letter, received by Morena at 2:24 p.m., the actor and ex-member of Garibaldi<\/span><\/span> explained that his decision was due to “various personal reasons”. In the text he made it clear that this is a definitive decision with immediate effects. <\/p>\n

“I hereby submit my irrevocable resignation from the National Regeneration Movement political party,” reads the document signed by the legislator.<\/p>\n

In addition to formally leaving the organization, he requested the cancellation of his registration as a militant and asked that his personal data be removed from any internal party database. The petition was filed based on Article 40, paragraph J, of the General Law of Political Parties and included a simple copy of his voting credential issued by INE. <\/p>\n

Sergio Mayer’s career has been marked by an unusual combination of entertainment and public life. Before entering politics, he built a solid career as an actor, singer and host, establishing himself as a recognized figure in Mexican television. <\/p>\n

In recent years, Mayer has maintained an intense media activity. Her participation in La Casa de los Famosos<\/span><\/span> revived his popularity and made him a trend in social networks. In a previous edition of the program he achieved great notoriety as a member of the so-called “Team Infierno”, one of the most talked-about groups of the format. <\/p>\n

So far, Sergio Mayer has not disclosed whether he will seek to join another political force or whether he will continue as an independent legislator. Nor has he offered additional statements on the specific reasons that led him to break with Morena. <\/p>\n

Her departure comes at a time when she continues to alternate her legislative activity with projects on television and social networks, remaining one of the most versatile and controversial public figures in the country.<\/p>\n
