The Concachampions (Concacaf Champions Cup) 2026 has already defined its finalists and the regional title will remain in Liga MX. Toluca and Tigres managed to overcome the semifinals against MLS clubs and will now compete in a long-awaited Mexican final that promises excitement, intensity and a ticket to the highest prestige of soccer in the region. The final match will be played as a single game and, in accordance with the format established by Concacaf, the team with the best position in the cumulative ranking will be the home team. Thanks to its performance during the tournament, Toluca won the right to host the final at Estadio Nemesio Diez, one of the most emblematic venues in Mexican soccer.<\/p>\n

The definition between two historic Liga MX<\/a> teams also represents a new blow of authority of Mexican soccer against MLS, a rivalry that continues to grow year after year and that maintains enormous interest among Hispanic fans in the United States.<\/p>\n

The Monterrey-based team advanced to the final after defeating Nashville SC 2-0 on aggregate.<\/p>\n

The felines struck the first blow in the first leg thanks to a goal by Argentine \u00c1ngel Correa.<\/p>\n

He appeared at a key moment to give Guido Pizarro’s team the lead.<\/p>\n

In the second leg, Tigres confirmed their superiority with a narrow victory thanks to a goal by Juan Brunetta.<\/p>\n

The regiomontano club’s international experience once again weighed heavily in decisive moments.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils came into the second leg at a disadvantage after losing 2-1 in Los Angeles to LAFC.<\/p>\n

However, the team coached by Antonio Mohamed responded with authority at home and won 4-0 to seal their ticket to the final with a 5-2 aggregate score.<\/p>\n

The goals were scored by Helinho, Everardo L\u00f3pez and a brace by Portuguese Paulinho, the Mexican team’s offensive star during the qualifying round.<\/p>\n

Toluca’s offensive performance confirmed the great moment the club is going through.<\/p>\n
