Mexican baseball continues to make its mark in the Major Leagues, and now it is the turn of Brandon Valenzuela, who debuted with the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> and became the 153rd Mexican-born player to reach the MLB.<\/p>\n

The catcher from Hermosillo, Sonora, lived an unforgettable moment when he hit an unstoppable hit in his first at bat during Sunday’s game against the Chicago White Sox. This achievement not only marks the beginning of his career at the highest level, but also places him in a select list of Mexicans who have shined from their first at-bat. <\/p>\n

A dream debut, but with challenges<\/h2>\n

Brandon Valenzuela, 25, was activated by Toronto after compatriot Alejandro Kirk was placed on the 10-day injured list due to injury.<\/p>\n

The Sonoran was not only included in the roster, but also started as a starter and ninth in the batting order.<\/p>\n

In his first opportunity in the third inning, he responded with cold blood:<\/p>\n

He hit a single to right field against pitcher Davis Martin, putting runners on base and proving that he is ready to compete at the highest level.<\/p>\n

However, the journey is just beginning.<\/p>\n

In his next two innings, Brandon Valenzuela struck out, reflecting the demands of the MLB level.<\/p>\n

Even so, debuting with a hit is an accomplishment that few can boast and speaks to the potential of the young Mexican catcher.<\/p>\n
