Since Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe<\/a> 2025 in Thailand, her name has not left the center of controversy. The Mexican, originally from Tabasco, won the title on November 21 at the Impact Challenger Hall, in a pageant with more than 110 participants from all over the world, becoming the fourth Mexican to win the universal crown.<\/p>\n

However, the triumph has been overshadowed by the multiple controversies surrounding both the Miss Universe organization and her selection as winner. From allegations of fraud to questions about the pageant’s business ties, Bosch has been forced to respond to issues unrelated to her performance in nearly every interview.<\/p>\n

The most commented episode occurred during her visit to Telemundo’s program “Pica y se extiende”, where she was interviewed by Lourdes Stephen and Carlos Adyan. The conversation became uncomfortable when the journalist directly raised the accusations against Raul Rocha, president and co-owner of Miss Universo, who is under investigation in Mexico and has bank accounts frozen for alleged links to crimes such as fuel theft and organized crime.<\/p>\n

Stephen reminded him on air: in recent days, the leader of the organization he represents has been linked to criminal charges and his bank accounts have been frozen, in addition to the accumulation of accusations that tarnish a key moment in his life. He then asked him the question that triggered the tension: if he had known that all this would happen, would he still have entered the contest?<\/p>\n

Bosch defended that her job is to represent the women of the world and that she is not involved in the legal or administrative affairs of the organization. However, the tone of the interview, which also addressed the visa requirement for contestants and the alleged defamation lawsuit filed by Nawat Itsaragrisil, ended up making her uncomfortable to the point of leaving the forum and subsequently canceling the rest of her commitments with Telemundo.<\/p>\n

Criticism, social networks and media harassment of F\u00e1tima Bosch<\/h2>\n

The pressure was not limited to the program. Upon her arrival at the Mexico City airport, days after the interview, Fatima Bosch was greeted by cameras and reporters who insisted on asking her about the Miss Universe controversies.<\/p>\n

She tried to go unnoticed with casual clothes, cap and glasses, but ended up answering briefly and avoiding going deeper into the accusations of fraud or a possible resignation from the crown.<\/p>\n

In social networks, the winner has received constant attacks from users who remain convinced that there were irregularities in her election, encouraged by statements from figures such as former judge Omar Harfouch, who spoke of alleged manipulations in the results of the contest.<\/p>\n

Adamari L\u00f3pez’s public defense<\/h2>\n

In the midst of this media storm, Puerto Rican host and actress Adamari Lopez came to Bosch’s defense on her show “Desiguales”, broadcast by Univision. Lopez asked to stop the “hate” and the constant questioning of the young Mexican. She recalled that out of the approximately 120 contestants, only one could win and that the jury chose Fatima.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s enough to be feeding this hatred against this girl who has nothing to do with it. She competed, she won the crown. Only one of all the 120 women who went there could win the crown, she was the one selected and she has been going through work since this man from Thailand came to humiliate her from all the others,” stated Adamari, alluding to the public conflict between Bosch and Nawat Itsaragrisil.<\/p>\n

The presenter also asked the press to change the focus of her interviews: “Enough of pouting at her, of continuing to ask her questions, of continuing to torment her with things that she has nothing to do with. Talk to her about her functions as Miss Universe, ask her what she is going to do from now on and stop bothering her so much”.<\/p>\n

As her reign progresses, Fatima Bosch tries to balance her first activities as Miss Universe with an uncommon media scrutiny even for a beauty queen. Between legal accusations against the top of the pageant, accusations of fraud and pressure from social networks, her public image is being built, day by day, between questioning and voices that, like that of Adamari Lopez, ask to give her space to show the work she has planned beyond the scandal.<\/p>\n
