Brazil’s Wagner Moura (‘The Secret Agent’), Mexico’s<\/a> Diego Luna (‘Andor’) and Puerto Rico’s Benicio del Toro (‘One Battle After Another’) will compete in different acting categories for a Golden Globe at the next edition of these awards to be held on January 11 in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Moura was nominated for best actor in a drama film for his participation in ‘The Secret Agent’; category in which he will compete with Dwayne Johnson (‘The Smashing Machine’); Michael B. Jordan (‘Sinners’) and Jeremy Allen White, who plays Bruce Springsteen in the ‘biopic’ of the American musician.<\/p>\n

While Luna will compete for the award for Best Actor in a Drama in a Television Series with Sterling K. Brown (‘Paradise’), Gary Oldman (‘Slow Horses’), Mark Ruffalo (‘Task’), Adam Scott (‘Severance’) and Noah Wyle (‘The Pitt’), the organization announced Monday.<\/p>\n

Among the Latino actors nominated this year is also Benicio del Toro, who will compete for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for ‘One Battle After Another’, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.<\/p>\n

Del Toro will compete with fellow actor Sean Penn, as well as Spanish-born Jacob Elordi, nominated for ‘Frankenstein’; Paul Mescal, for ‘Hamnet’; Adam Sandler, for ‘Jay Kelly’; and Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd, for ‘Sentimental Value’.<\/p>\n

Golden Globe Nominations<\/h2>\n

Elordi repeats as the lead in a miniseries for his work in ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’, a category in which he will face Paul Giamatti (‘Black Mirror’), Stephen Graham (‘Adolescence’), Charlie Hunnam (‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’), Jude Law (‘Black Rabbit’) and Matthew Rhys (‘The Beast in Me’).<\/p>\n

As for the female categories, the film nominees for Best Actress in a Drama are Jessie Buckley (‘Hamnet’), Jennifer Lawrence (‘Die My Love’), Renate Reinsve (‘Sentimental Value’), Julia Roberts (‘After the Hunt’), Tessa Thompson (‘Hedda’) and Eva Victor (‘Sorry, Baby’).<\/p>\n

In the comedy or musical category, the nominees are Rose Byrne (‘If I had Legs I’d Kick You’); Cynthia Erivo (‘Wicked: For Good’); Kate Hudson (‘Song Sung Blue’); Chase Infiniti (‘One Battle After Another’); Amanda Seyfried (‘The Testament of Ann Lee’).<\/p>\n

For best actress in a drama in a television series the nominees are Kathy Bates (‘Matlock’), Britt Lower (‘Severance’), Helen Mirren (‘Mobland’), Bella Ramsey (‘The Last Of Us’), Keri Russell (‘The Diplomat’) and Rhea Seehorn (‘Pluribus’).<\/p>\n

From comedy or musical, Kristen Bell, for ‘Nobody Wants This’; Ayo Edebiri, for ‘The Bear’; Selena Gomez, for ‘Only Murders in the Building’; Natasha Lyonne, for ‘Poker Face’; Jenna Ortega, for ‘Wednesday’ (Netflix) and Jean Smart, for ‘Hacks’.<\/p>\n
