The Rams bounce back in Los Angeles and crush the Falcons 28-6 after their setback in Australia
Por Carlos Rodríguez ·

On Monday, the Los Angeles Rams put their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia—on the NFL’s opening day—behind them and bounced back with a resounding 28-6 victory over the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
In a stadium buzzing with excitement over Aaron Donald’s return—his first appearance since announcing his retirement in 2023— the Rams cruised to victory, led by Matthew Stafford, who threw for 327 yards, completed 22 of 31 passes, threw four touchdown passes, and threw one interception. Davante Adams was his top receiver, with eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, led by Kyren Williams, the Rams racked up 163 yards compared to the Giants’ modest 52.
Jaxson Dart’s injury changes the Giants’ trajectory

The New Yorkers arrived in Los Angeles on the heels of a solid victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
But their enthusiasm was completely dampened on the very first possession, when quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a dangerous hyperextension of his left knee.
He was forced to leave the game and would not return to competition.
That said, the “QB” spent the rest of the game on the bench—often standing—a sign of hope for New York.
Jameis Winston replaced him and struggled against the Rams’ fierce defense.
He managed only 111 yards, going 11-for-27 on passes and throwing one interception.
The Giants’ only points came from the boot of kicker Dominic Zvada (Filed as: Los Angeles Rams Crush the Giants).
A Parade of Stars in LA
The game was played at a sold-out SoFi Stadium, where Myles Garrett, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, was in the box as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
The Rams were also without their star wide receiver, Puka Nacua.
But among the stars in the stands were NBA players such as Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan, among others (Filed under: Los Angeles Rams Crush the Giants).

Week 2 of the NFL featured a hard-fought victory by the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated the Indianapolis Colts in overtime on a game-winning field goal by Harrison Butker.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 347 yards and three touchdown passes for Kansas City.
It was also a day marked by injuries, with Jayden Daniels forced to leave the game after dislocating his left elbow during the Washington Commanders’ 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
And Caleb Williams was carried off the field on a stretcher during the Minnesota Vikings’ 9-3 victory over the Chicago Bears.
The Philadelphia Eagles came from behind to defeat the Tennessee Titans 24-20 on a game-winning pass from Jalen Hurts to Darius Cooper.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens lost 24-17 to the New Orleans Saints.
