As the first half of 2026 draws to a close, Rolling Stone magazine released its highly anticipated list of the best songs released this year, a ranking that brings together some of the music industry’s most notable releases so far. Among the selected artists, several Latin artists stand out, continuing to solidify their presence on the international scene thanks to the impact of their most recent releases.

The publication featured works from a variety of genres and styles, highlighting both established artists and emerging voices that have captured the attention of the public and music critics alike.

One of the Latin artists who made it onto the list was Karol G, who earned the recognition thanks to “Después de ti,” the ballad she released in late April alongside Greg Gonzalez, the lead singer of the American band Cigarettes After Sex.

The song drew attention for showcasing a more intimate and melancholic side of the Colombian singer. In addition, the song had a memorable debut when Karol G performed it for the first time at Coachella, an event where she made history by becoming the first Latin artist to headline the main stage.

Another of the recognized Latin artists was Young Miko, who made the list thanks to “BIAF,” a song that blends English and Spanish lyrics over an urban beat and a rhythm that Rolling Stone described as particularly sensual.

The single has been very well received by the public, racking up more than 23 million streams on Spotify and solidifying the Puerto Rican singer’s international growth.

For their part, J Balvin, Ryan Castro, and French producer DJ Snake were also included thanks to “Tonto,” one of the most successful collaborations of the year. The single is part of *Omerta*, the joint album by Balvin and DJ Snake, released in early May.

The magazine highlighted how the song incorporates sounds characteristic of Colombian music, as well as references to the 1990s classic “Jump” by the duo Kriss Kross, creating a blend of nostalgia and modernity.

Argentine rapper Trueno also earned a spot among the year’s most notable songs with “The Manifesto,” a collaboration with the British band Gorillaz and the artist Proof.

Rolling Stone particularly praised the energy of the chorus and the optimistic message conveyed by the lyrics, as well as the natural blend of English and Spanish—elements that have made the song one of the most talked-about tracks in recent months.

In addition to Latin artists, the ranking includes names such as Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey, and Halsey, who were also recognized for their recent releases.

As for the podium, third place went to Ella Langley with “Choosing Texas,” a country song that won over critics with its melancholic tone and prominent guitar work. Second place went to Bruce Springsteen with “Streets of Minneapolis,” while first place went to Charli XCX for “SS26.”

This latest track references the spring-summer 2026 collections and will be included on *Music, Fashion, Film*, the British singer’s upcoming studio album, which is scheduled for release on July 24. The selection confirms that 2026 has been a year of great musical diversity, in which Latin artists continue to gain ground and make their mark on the major international charts.
