The Mexican National Team is embarking on a new chapter with Rafael Márquez, and it will do so right in front of millions of “El Tri” fans living in the United States, as the new coach will lead the team in four consecutive preseason matches on U.S. soil against Colombia, Peru, the United States, and Chile.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, September 26, against Colombia at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. It will be Márquez’s first game as head coach of the senior national team, and it will have a unique feature: for this match, Mexico will have a limited number of players from Liga MX clubs because the game coincides with the 2026 Apertura season.

The game against Colombia is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. CT / 7:00 p.m. MT / 6:00 p.m. PT.
