Luis Ángel “El Flaco” surprises his fans once again with a project that seeks to go beyond musical frontiers. The singer from Sinaloa officially presented Tequila y Guaro, a concept album that fuses two of the most popular genres in Latin America: regional Mexican and Colombian popular music.
With this production, the former vocalist of Los Recoditos bets on a proposal that mixes traditions, sounds and emotions shared between two countries united by the passion for the music of spite, love and life stories. The result is a work that seeks to connect with audiences in both Mexico and Colombia, as well as millions of Hispanics in the United States.
Luis Ángel “El Flaco”: A musical bridge between two cultures

The name of the album was not chosen at random. Tequila represents one of Mexico’s most emblematic drinks, while guaro is one of Colombia’s most recognized cultural symbols. Together, both elements reflect the spirit of a project that celebrates the musical and emotional closeness between the two countries.
Tequila y Guaro was produced between Mexico and Colombia and counts with the participation of Yohan Usuga, Joss Favela and Luis Angel “El Flaco” himself in the musical production. Abelardo Rivera was in charge of the mixing and Jaime Cavazos was in charge of the mastering.
The album explores universal themes such as heartbreak, nostalgia, complicated relationships, partying and passion, elements that have characterized the artist’s career and are also an essential part of Colombian popular music.
The album’s title track is Todo Que Ver, a song that perfectly represents the essence of the production.
The piece combines elements of contemporary Mexican regional music with influences from Colombian popular music, creating a modern and emotional proposal that seeks to transcend borders. According to the presentation of the project, this song reflects the main objective of the album: to build a cultural bridge between Mexico and Colombia through music.
The repertoire also includes songs such as El Rencoroso, No Vuelvas de Arrepentida, Caso Perdido, La Más Chimba del Barrio and Aventurero, all of them with a strong Colombian inspiration.
On the other hand, songs such as Vete Vete, Mi Reina, Más Que Perfecto and Por el Resto de Tus Días preserve the romantic and characteristic regional Mexican sound.
A special tribute to Yeison Jiménez

One of the most significant moments of the album comes with the interpretation of Aventurero, one of the most representative songs of Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez.
Luis Ángel “El Flaco”‘s version was born from the admiration and friendship that existed between both artists. More than a simple cover, the song functions as a tribute to Jiménez’s legacy in Colombian popular music.
Maintaining the sentimental essence of the original version, the Sinaloense singer adapts the song to his own style, incorporating elements of regional Mexican without losing the emotional strength that made the song a hit.
With Tequila y Guaro, Luis Ángel “El Flaco” proves that music knows no borders. The album represents a new stage in his career and a commitment to the union of two cultures that share much more than language: they share stories, emotions and songs that are born from the heart.
