Adamari López decided to take action against videos created using artificial intelligence that use her image and voice to spread false information about her. The Puerto Rican TV host had reported days earlier that manipulated content was circulating on social media in which she allegedly appeared accusing Hispanic immigrants before U.S. immigration authorities.
Given the seriousness of the allegations, Adamari publicly clarified that those videos are not real and that the statements attributed to her were never actually made by her.
“I want to be very clear: these videos are not real, and these words and actions are not mine—they have never happened, either in my home or on my part,” she said.
Although he initially used his social media accounts to deny the claims, he later explained that he intends to go further and seek legal avenues to identify those behind the creation and dissemination of this material.
Adamari López will turn to experts to identify the person responsible

During the September 18 broadcast of the show “Ada y Chiqui,” the host revealed that she is considering seeking specialized assistance to investigate the origin of the videos.
“I’m going to call someone who works at the FBI—I’ve already been learning a bit about how to do this—and I’m going to track down the IP address of the person generating the content,” he said.
Adamari believed that spreading false information while impersonating someone else could have legal consequences, and she acknowledged that launching an investigation of this kind could be financially burdensome for her.
The host also said that she has begun receiving guidance from people in the tech field to better understand the tools that could be used in an investigation into the origin of the content.
During her explanation, Adamari López recalled that years ago she had already been in contact with FBI officials regarding another cybercrime. Although she declined to reveal all the details of the case, she explained that on that occasion, someone had accessed her computer to investigate information related to an alleged extortion attempt.
According to his account, the case involved intimate photographs of a person and a demand for money in exchange for not making them public.
Adamari explained that the investigation made it possible to identify the source of the information and locate the person responsible. According to her account, the authorities were able to determine where the material had come from using an IP address.
It seeks to set a precedent regarding videos created using AI

Beyond defending herself against videos that use her image, Adamari López made it clear that her intention is to raise awareness about the risks posed by the use of artificial intelligence to create fake content.
The host expressed concern about the potential consequences that such tools can have when they are used to attribute non-existent statements or actions to a person.
“If the government and the relevant entities do nothing to correct this, it could have many serious consequences,” she stated.
For now, the host has made it clear that she will continue to seek ways to address the problem and determine who is behind the content that uses her image and voice without authorization.
Here’s a video of what Adamari López had to say about that situation.
