Actress Christina Applegate Shares a Video After Being Hospitalized

Christina Applegate posted a new video on social media showing her new look, after spending several months in the hospital as part of her long battle with multiple sclerosis.
“New hair color, new weird spot on my cheek, haha,” wrote the ‘Dead to Me’ actress in a video posted Monday on her Instagram, in which she is seen posing for the camera and showing off her blonde hair.
The actress thanked her stylist, Dave Stanwell, for brightening up “her cloudy day,” and sent a message of love to her followers: “I love you all and send you lots of love.”
In March, TMZ reported that the 54-year-old actress had been hospitalized.

Applegate revealed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021, and on her podcast “MesSy” she has spoken openly about it, admitting that she had been hospitalized more than 30 times since the disease was diagnosed.
In August, a source told *People* magazine that the star of *The Sweetest Thing* was already back home and doing very well, and shared a photo of her home along with a welcome message her daughter had made for her.
Before that, the actress had shared very little on social media, including a photo with her daughter and a message mourning the death of actor Tim Curry.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease that damages the protective layer surrounding nerve fibers, which can interfere with communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
According to the Mayo Clinic, multiple sclerosis can cause numbness, weakness, difficulty walking, vision changes, and other symptoms, reported Agencia EFE.
