During her appearance on Lele Pons’ podcast, Shakira spoke candidly about how she organizes her daily routine to balance motherhood with her numerous professional commitments.
The singer explained that she takes advantage of the days when her children, Milan and Sasha, are staying with their father, Gerard Piqué, to focus on all her work commitments. During that time, she schedules meetings, recording sessions, interviews, and other buzzy projects related to her music career.
With a touch of humor, she remarked that those periods often turn into marathon workdays, during which she even sleeps very little in order to get as much done as possible and thus have more time to devote exclusively to her children when they return home.
“I don’t have a boyfriend; I don’t have time.”
It was precisely while talking about that fast-paced lifestyle that Shakira answered one of the questions that most intrigues her fans.
Amid laughter, the artist confessed that she is currently single and explained that she simply can’t find the time for a romantic relationship.
“I don’t have a boyfriend, I don’t have anything… There’s no time for anything,” she said, making it clear that she is going through a phase in which she is completely focused on her family and her professional projects.
With these words, the Barranquilla native dismissed the rumors linking her romantically to Manuel García Rulfo and reaffirmed that, for the time being, love is not among her top priorities.
